Coffee--fresh and aromatic

Today I bought a pound of fresh ground Dark Earth coffee roasted by my Coffee shop of choice, Winnings.
I don't buy fresh ground coffee often because it takes me a couple months to to through it. This morning, I poured out the last couple spoonfuls of grounds this morning into a white coffee filter, and brewed it, poured it into my coffee cup, added a splash of cream, and dashed out of the house with it for Nina's morning walk.
I felt excited to go buy fresh coffee grounds today during my lunch break. I love the smell of fresh coffee most. I love getting a stamp on my 'buy 5 get one free' pound of coffee card. I got the 5th stamp today, so next time my coffee is free! I think of the fresh ground pound of coffee being brewed and sipped and going through my body. The Java juice flowing through my veins and giving me energy as I ride to school, write lesson plans and research papers, shop, think, listen in class, talk to friends, walk Nina. The coffee becomes who I am--how I move, the style in which I do what I do.
Buying fresh, ground Dark Earth coffee from Winnings Coffee House is one of my favorite rituals.
