Nina the Pug loses a tooth

Nina has a tendency to bite other dogs who bark at her through fences and gates while we go on our daily walks.

She takes it as a serious personal offense, and responses with a ferocity that says, "How dare you bark at me? Do you know WHO I am?!"

so on Sunday we were walking, and she leaped to bite a hound dog that was barking at her, and before I could pull her away she rammed her face into the fence to bite the dog, and she ended up hitting her mouth the wraught iron fence. Her lower lip took the impact (she has an underbite) and one of her little teeth popped out in the process. She was gushing blood for a few minutes, and I was freaking out kneeling beside her. Did she bite her tongue? Did the other dog bite her? Did she have a cut or gash?

After a few minutes she seemed fine and was pulling on the leash again, and had swallowed all the blood. When we got home I made an inventory of her mooth, and discovered a gap where a tooth had been. Poor Nina!

I may have to get her a gold tooth... She definetly is Nina the Thug now.
