Top fun moments in NOLA

• sleeping in until 10:30, or noon, or 1:30pm
• shopping for and making gumbo and eating it days later
• baking biscochitos (well Avram baked them, I just chatted with his friend and helped roll them out)
• eating the biscochitos
• The City park full of old oak trees.
• eating Spumone ice cream at this 100 year old Italian pastry shop
• eating the meal of my life with Avram and Jen at the Spanish place: a bottle of sangria with pan-fried calamari and mussels with warm bread to start, and seafood paella with fideous for our meal, and pralines and cream ice cream for dessert....then, we went out for tea/coffee and dark chocolate with raspberries afterwards.
• NOMA-New Orleans Museum of Modern Art
• running the length of Avram's house with his puppy Mason and scarring the shit outta the cat.
• meeting interesting, artsy people at New Year's Eve parties
• taking a bath in Avram's copper tub while reading Anais Nin's "Little Birds" with a glass of white wine.
